Aisles, a cold store and a stockroom — cases set among shelves that block sight lines but not movement.
The shop floor with its aisles, a cold store, a bakery counter, the stockroom, a loading bay, the manager’s office above it all. A supermarket is one enormous room subdivided by shelving, which makes it structurally unlike any other theme in the casebook.
Shelves are objects, not walls, so this theme leans harder on object clues than any other: who was beside the freezer, who was nowhere near the checkout. Room clues are comparatively weak because so much of the plan is one room. Expect the hard cases here to be genuinely hard.
A case picks its floor plan from this theme’s room pool, so the same places recur across the drawer and you learn to read them: Checkout, Snacks, Drinks, Deli Counter, Fruit Aisle, Chilled Aisle, Toy Aisle, Stockroom, Bakery, Produce Aisle, Cheese Counter, Frozen Aisle, Drugstore, Staff Room, Parking Lot. No single case uses all of them — the generator and the hand-built cases alike take a subset, which is why two cases in the same setting can still feel unalike.
7 cases — 2 easy, 1 medium, 4 hard, on boards from 6×6 to 9×9. Every one is verified to have a single solution reachable by forward deduction alone, so none of them needs a guess.
